Window film contains moisture after installation. It needs time to naturally dry and bond to the glass.
The First Few Days Matter.
Window film contains moisture after installation. It needs time to naturally dry and bond to the glass.
First 3–5 Days
- Keep your windows up. Do not roll tinted windows down for at least 3–5 days after installation. Doing so too early can catch the film edge and cause lifting or peeling.
- Let the film cure naturally. Whenever practical, parking the vehicle outside can help the film cure. Warm conditions generally speed the drying process.
- Don't press on moisture pockets. Small water pockets, haze, cloudiness, or temporary visual distortion can be normal immediately after installation. Do not push, squeeze, pop, or attempt to remove them.

- Small moisture pockets
- Temporary visual distortion
- Slight variations that improve as moisture evaporates
These do not automatically indicate an installation defect. Depending on weather, humidity, film type, and glass, complete curing can take several days or longer.
Cleaning Your Tint
Once cured:
- Use an ammonia-free automotive glass cleaner
- Use a clean, soft microfiber towel
- Avoid abrasive pads
- Avoid razor blades or sharp tools
- Be careful around film edges
Windshield Tint
Windshield film may initially appear slightly hazy or milky while remaining installation moisture evaporates. Avoid attaching stickers, suction cups, adhesive mounts, or other accessories directly to freshly installed film until it has fully cured.
Warranty Alert
Damage caused by rolling windows down prematurely, sharp objects, abrasive cleaning, improper chemicals, stickers, suction devices, or customer alteration is not considered a workmanship defect. If something doesn't look right, contact the Lab before touching it.
